Portugal – June 2, 2025
Just five weeks after lifting our first trophy of the year, Tricked Esport has completed a remarkable run by claiming their third LAN championship in a row, emerging victorious at the OMEN Retake Season 10 Finals in Portugal.
In a nail-biting grand final against regional powerhouse Bad News Eagles, Tricked battled through a full best-of-three series to secure the title, with map scores of 13-11 on Anubis, a narrow 10-13 loss on Ancient, and a dramatic 13-11 win on Mirage【HLTV】
The victory came just one day after an intense semifinal against CPH Wolves, where Tricked had already impressed with a strong tactical showing【HLTV】
The MVP of the tournament was none other than Magnus "Nodios" Olsen, whose performance throughout the playoff stage proved vital.
Magnus “Nodios” Olsen, MVP of the tournament, shared:
"I’m unbelievably proud of this team. Winning three LANs in less than 1.5 months isn’t easy — especially when you're a new lineup. Personally, I’m very happy with my performance this weekend, but none of this happens without the team setting me up and believing in me. We’ve worked so hard, and this just proves that it’s paying off."
With this latest win, Tricked Esport has now climbed to #51 in the global VRS ranking, gaining 21 spots and now holding 1,024 VRS points — a significant achievement in a system that traditionally favors long-standing, established teams.
Nicklas Bendtner, co-owner of Legendary Gaming Group, commented:
“It’s amazing to witness the evolution of this roster. They’ve grinded hard with limited invitations and high stakes on the line every time they enter the server. I couldn’t be prouder — this hattrick shows what belief and work ethic can achieve. And this is still just the beginning!”
Peter Ankersen, co-owner and professional footballer, added:
“This team’s growth over the last months has been incredible. We’ve always believed in developing young talent, and seeing the results come this quickly is both exciting and humbling. The guys have fought through the unforgiving VRS system and earned every point they’ve got.”
This third LAN trophy in a row follows Tricked’s wins at Gamebox Masters in Denmark and Comic Con Baltics in Lithuania, completing a streak that now places the team among the most in-form tier-2 teams in Europe.
And we’re not done yet!
Before heading into the summer player break at the end of June, Tricked has one more major test ahead — GLITCHED Festival in Stockholm. With several top tier-2 teams already confirmed for the event, the team is eager to extend their winning streak to four straight LAN titles and make it a quadruple.
"We know GLITCHED will be stacked with competition," said IGL Valdemar “valde” Vangsø after the win in Portugal.
"But we’re hungry, we’re focused, and we’ll give everything we’ve got to finish the season strong before the break."
